Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrei James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ted Kane struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrei James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ted Kane! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kane as he avoids it easily. Kane looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! James darts in trying to clinch and Kane counters with a straight right hand. Kane leaves James with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. James shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kane as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrei James. That's going to take a lot out of him. James fails with a takedown attempt. James closes the distance and clinches. James wants a takedown.
Kane struggles to land a body shot inside as James controls his hands.
James has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kane is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kane swings away with a leg kick that misses. Ted Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James fails to land the takedown. James closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kane quickly recovers to half guard. Kane tries to get to full guard but James has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. James missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. James wants to take a breather but Kane is having none of it. It looks like James is going to stand back up.
James thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. James is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Kane is trying to control but can't.
Kane slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. James wants to pass the guard but Kane is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kane manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kane controlling the position easily from mount. James tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane looking to control and managing it successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kane looking to control but James is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ted Kane was stalling too much, according to the referee. James shoots and misses and Kane counters by clinching up. Kane prevents James from breaking the clinch. Kane utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kane scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A low kick from Kane is predictable there so James counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kane looking for a sweep. Not yet Kane, not yet. James has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kane keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully. Kane is trying to keep James in close.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. James stands up from guard. Let's bang! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrei James dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kane.
Kane gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. James wants to pass the guard but Kane is keeping the position. James preventing the sweep. Kane is trying to control the position but James postures up. Kane keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andrei James. James tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kane sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James somewhat. James gets the takedown into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane is looking to regain half guard here but James keeps moving and retains side control. James tries to stand but Kane is controlling his head. Kane tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but James wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. James tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kane's legs. Kane wants to control but James postures up. Kane is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked James off and has taken his back! James is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. James is trying to get back to his feet but Kane has full control of the position and if anything, James has just worked his way into a worse spot. James looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Ted Kane has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. James shoots and misses and Kane counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kane. James tries to land a sweep but no joy. James keeping full guard, as Kane tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kane controlling from the top position. Kane decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No luck for James with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrei James. That's going to take a lot out of him. A jab lands there for Kane. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kane, right into the meat.
James fails with an attempt to clinch.
James shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kane counters with a lovely shot to the body. James misses with a low kick.
James misses with a series of wild punches.
James closes the distance and clinches. James trying to stall but Kane improves his position.
Kane is trying to push James away but James has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. James can't get the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ted Kane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Kane moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. James throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kane's waist but Kane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing James off to one side. A head kick by Kane misses so James counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. James stopping the sweep attempt from Kane. James content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. James trying to control the position from guard on top but Kane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kane is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kane trying to control from half guard but James is working away. Kane not doing much here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but James does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kane stops James from getting back to his feet.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Ted Kane hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Kane throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by James. James tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from James. James tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. James has closed the distance and engaged Kane in a clinch.
James jumps guard but Kane stands there with James around his waist. James gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrei James. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kane blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kane has James pushed against the cage. James's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. James has his takedown stuffed so Kane counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kane engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Kane postures up.
James preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kane seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ted Kane was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kane tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but James swivels and escapes. Kane takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A low kick from Kane misses and James counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kane! Kane gets back to half guard. Kane works his way to full guard. Good work. Kane trying to keep a closed guard but James is proving a slippery customer.
Andrei James overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. James got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kane has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, James has managed to get both his arms back between Kane's legs - danger averted. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as James accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kane keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kane trying to keep a closed guard but James is proving a slippery customer.
Kane bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in James's guard. James tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kane advances to half guard. Kane seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. James missing with punches from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. James actively working from the bottom here. Kane perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Ted Kane. I think Kane has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
