Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nicholas Fitzcannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Barrett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nicholas Fitzcannon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyler Barrett! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fitzcannon throws a series of punches but Barrett avoids them all with ease. Barrett dodges the punch combination from Fitzcannon.
Fitzcannon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Barrett circles away quickly and effectively. Fitzcannon moves into the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Barrett. Barrett has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Fitzcannon uses from the top position. Fitzcannon wants to pass the guard but Barrett is keeping the position. Fitzcannon wants to get up but he can't break Barrett's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Barrett trying to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fitzcannon preventing the sweep.

Tyler Barrett has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Barrett throws a front kick that sends Fitzcannon stumbling back into the cage. Barrett throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Fitzcannon throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Barrett counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Barrett looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Barrett wants to control from the top but Fitzcannon keeps moving. Barrett drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fitzcannon dives on top into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barrett is adopting a defensive guard. Barrett wants to sweep here but Fitzcannon controlling him for the moment.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tyler Barrett wasn't active enough on the ground. Fitzcannon fails to land with a series of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barrett stalks Fitzcannon and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fitzcannon's face. Fitzcannon staggers backwards, shaken. Fitzcannon has closed the distance and engaged Barrett in a clinch.
Fitzcannon working hard to break the clinch. Fitzcannon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fitzcannon misses with a combination
so Barrett counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Barrett postures up in Fitzcannon's guard and throws a big left but Fitzcannon blocks it. Fitzcannon is breathing heavily. Barrett trying to control but Fitzcannon is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Barrett controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tyler Barrett. Fitzcannon throws a combination that misses and Barrett counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Barrett throwing strikes but missing. Barrett sitting in guard, not really doing much. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Barrett trying to control but Fitzcannon is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyler Barrett dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Barrett darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Barrett lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Barrett is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fitzcannon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Barrett. Fitzcannon avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Barrett.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barrett is looking to take a break and control but Fitzcannon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ground and pound from Barrett. Barrett is stalling here. Fitzcannon is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Barrett seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Fitzcannon has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Barrett trying to control but Fitzcannon flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Barrett is squirming around looking to escape but he's just wriggling himself into more trouble. Fitzcannon sinks in the hooks and manages to tighten his grip on a rear naked choke. Barrett has no choice but to tap and Fitzcannon jumps to his feet to celebrate and slick submission win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Nicholas Fitzcannon!
