Martinez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Many Men. Thompson has chosen 24s as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Martinez counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Thompson feints a jab promting Martinez to slip. Thompson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Martinez slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

and Martinez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Martinez.

Thompson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Thompson misses with a looping left.
Thompson throws a nice looking combination but Martinez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Martinez is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Martinez fails to pull guard.
Martinez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Thompson just stands there and leans against the cage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Thompson throws a right hand that Martinez ducks under and follows up with a left that Martinez also avoids with ease.

Thompson has his feet on Martinez's thighs here. He's pushed Martinez off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Martinez screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
