Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sam Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Plo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stout comes to the cage accompanied by How we do. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sam Stout! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Patrick Plo! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! An inside leg kick from Stout misses. Plo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Plo is looking to work some ground and pound but Stout has wrist control. Stout looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stout working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Plo. Plo thows a big elbow that misses. Plo won't allow Stout to sweep him here. Stout seems keen to control Plo's posture. Stout keeping moving, preventing Plo from controlling successfully. Plo is pushing down on Stout's leg trying to pass to half guard. Stout is fighting to maintain full guard but Plo has managed to sneak the leg through. Plo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Stout keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Stout is refusing to be controlled, as Plo sits in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Plo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Stout is staying active underneath Plo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ground and pound from Plo. Stout pushes Plo off looking to stand but Plo dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Stout walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Plo stuffs the takedown attempt from Stout. Stout gets slowly back to his feet. Plo cracks Stout with an open hand slap. Stout misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Plo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stout swivels and escapes. A combination from Plo does no damage. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Stout, as that shot connected.
Stout tries to clinch but Plo moves out of range. Stout throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Plo. Plo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stout's guard. Stout is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Stout is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Plo thows a big elbow that misses. Plo showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Stout will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Plo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Stout is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Plo is looking to work some ground and pound but Stout has wrist control. Plo lands a couple of digs.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Stout avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stout tries to clinch there but Plo circles away.

Stout tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Stout keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Stout fails with the takedown and Plo counters with a single leg into guard. Stout didn't expect that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Plo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stout is keeping the position for now. Plo wants to control from the top but Stout keeps moving. Stout trying to strike off his back.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Plo works over Stout with some ground and pound from guard. Stout is trying to keep Plo in close.
Stout can't keep his opponent in guard - Plo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Plo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Stout is looking to escape. Plo controlling the action here. Stout pushes Plo off looking to stand but Plo dives back in and keeps control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Plo lands with a punch from half guard. Stout has one foot on Plo's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Stout misses with a two punch combination.
Stout lands a nice shot to the body.
Plo misses with a double jab.
Stout wants to clinch but Plo slips to the side and Plo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stout won't be happy with that. Plo working away. Stout is pushing Plo's head away, looking to escape. Plo manages to hold on to the position though. Stout manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Stout is looking for a sweep. Plo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Stout regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Plo. Plo won't allow Stout to sweep him here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Plo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stout's head. Plo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Plo throwing strikes from guard but Stout blocks nicely. Stout trying to control the position.
Plo won't allow Stout to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Patrick Plo dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Stout shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stout was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Stout content just to control the position here. Plo throwing hammer fists to the chest of Stout. What's that going to do exactly? Stout really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Plo tries to reverse the position but Stout maintains control. Stout avoids the attempt from Plo to control. Stout trying to control but Plo is having none of it. Plo is looking to improve his position but Stout isn't that keen on the idea. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Plo wants to control but Stout is having none of it. Plo is trying to escape the mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stout controlling from the full mount. Plo tries to lock up and control but Stout gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Stout looking to control but Plo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Plo regains half guard. Plo throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Plo actively working from the bottom here. Stout scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Plo works his way to full guard. Good work. Stout seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stout wants to pass the guard but Plo is keeping the position. Stout is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Stout tries to stand but Plo is controlling from the bottom. Stout stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Plo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Stout preventing the sweep. Stout tries to stand but Plo is controlling from the bottom. Stout gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Stout throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stout shoots and misses and Plo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Stout! Stout is desperately trying to improve his position but Plo has a good base and remains in mount. Stout is working hard here to advance position. Plo looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stout is in all sorts of trouble here.
Stout is in a horrible position here. Plo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Plo working for a guillotine from mount but Stout is in no mood to give up. Plo wants to control the pace but Stout is squirming around nicely. Stout tries to lock up and control but Plo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Plo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Stout can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Plo avoids the attempt from Stout to control. A nice elbow there by Plo. Plo lands a big shot to the head and Stout winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
