Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cole Trane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Askew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Askew has chosen Glamour of the Kill-Feeling Alive as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Cole Trane could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ian Askew's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cole Trane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ian Askew! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Askew lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Trane shoots in for a takedown but Askew shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Askew throws a right hand that misses
and Trane makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Askew will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Askew misses with a body kick. Askew throws a body punch but Trane moves out of range. Askew throws a nice looking combination but Trane bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Trane is defended easily by Askew. Trane closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Askew is trying is best to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trane missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Askew is trying to control but can't.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Ian Askew hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Askew will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Trane throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Askew tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Trane is in Askew's guard. Trane wants to pass the guard but Askew is keeping the position. Trane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Askew utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trane wants to pass the guard but Askew is keeping the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Askew tries to bum rush Trane with a series of wild strikes but Trane uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Askew lands a jab to the nose. Askew misses with a combination
and Trane counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Trane is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Askew defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trane thows a huge punch but Askew dodges it nicely.
Trane lands strikes from half guard. Askew keeps control of the position for the meantime. Askew wants to control but Trane is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ian Askew has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Askew throws a looping overhand right but Trane ducks down to avoid it. Trane fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Askew sprawls well initially but Trane persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Trane trying to mount his opponent but Askew defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cole Trane dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Askew throws a right hand that Trane ducks under and follows up with a left that Trane also avoids with ease. Askew misses with a combination
so Trane counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Trane passes easily into side control. Nice work. Trane misses with the ground and pound. Trane fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trane working away. Trane stands up and we're back to a striking position. A combination from Askew does no damage. Good shot there by Askew. Askew throws a sloppy head kick and Trane moves out of range easily. Trane scores a takedown into full mount! Trane is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Trane extends the arm and Askew is forced to tap!
