Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damien Kali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Thatcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Anthony Thatcher enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kali looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kali closes the distance and clinches up with Thatcher, looking for a takedown. Kali pushes Thatcher against the cage but Thatcher circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thatcher misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Thatcher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kali swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kali working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Thatcher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Thatcher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kali is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Thatcher preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Thatcher isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kali stacks Thatcher on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kali!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Thatcher throws a right and a left that both miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Damien Kali will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Kali throws a front kick that sends Thatcher stumbling back into the cage.

Thatcher rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kali moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kali darts in and clinches Thatcher up against the cage.

Thatcher gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kali is posturing up here but Thatcher has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Kali tries to roll out but it's too tight and Kali has to tap! Slick submission there by Thatcher!
