Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sunny Supernova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magnum P I (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Supernova comes to the cage accompanied by Karma Police. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

P I has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Supernova can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

P I is looking for a sweep. Supernova is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Supernova throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

and P I counters with a nice leg kick.
P I misses with a takedown attempt - Supernova sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Supernova throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Supernova throws a shot from downtown. P I moves away and avoids it.

Supernova falls off balance throwing a combination
and P I counters with a nice double leg into side control. Supernova won't be happy with that.
P I wants to control but Supernova is keeping him busy.
Supernova struggling a bit here.
Supernova tries to bench press P I off him but P I keeps the position.
P I misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
P I postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Supernova is not content to let P I control the position.

P I looks up at the clock and then as Supernova takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, P I smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
P I wants to lay and pray for a moment but Supernova keeps working.

Supernova is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
P I tries for a kimura but Supernova is defending well.
P I wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Supernova, who protects the arm well.
P I looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

P I wants to lay and pray for a moment but Supernova keeps working.
P I working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Supernova regains half guard.
P I wants to take a breather but Supernova is having none of it.
Supernova is looking to improve his position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Supernova controlling the position for now.
Supernova pushes P I off and gets back to his feet.

and P I counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Supernova lands a nice hook to P I's body. P I takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and P I holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
P I jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Supernova walks away with a smile on his face. P I gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sunny Supernova is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
P I dives in and grabs Supernova's left leg, looking for a takedown. Supernova pushes down on P I's head and hops out.
Supernova throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Magnum P I showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

P I has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
P I takes a body punch but keeps moving.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from P I is defended easily by Supernova.

I think P I has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
