Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Ghita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Fomenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Ghita!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrey Fomenko!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ghita misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick by Ghita misses
and Fomenko counters with a nice uppercut.
Ghita throws a lazy head kick
and Fomenko connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Ghita enables Fomenko to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ghita manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fomenko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Fomenko's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Fomenko gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ghita closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A head kick from Ghita lands but Fomenko takes it in his stride.

Ghita throws a head kick that misses.
Fomenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ghita pinned against the cage. Ghita gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ghita throws a right and a left that both miss.
David Ghita is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

David Ghita seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Fomenko counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Fomenko stands up and waves to Ghita to follow him.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fomenko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Ghita is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fomenko is controlling him.

Ghita knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fomenko on the ground.

It looks like Fomenko might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Fomenko stands up and waves to Ghita to follow him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fomenko shoots in for a double leg but Ghita sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrey Fomenko dominated that round.

Fomenko shoots in for a takedown but Ghita shows good takedown defense.
Ghita throws a lazy head kick
and Fomenko counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ghita!
Fomenko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Fomenko is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Fomenko extends the arm and Ghita is forced to tap!
