Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Jason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandr Kovalchuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Jason! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexandr Kovalchuk! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kovalchuk drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sloppy strikes there by Kovalchuk. Kovalchuk tries to move into full mount but can't pass Jason's legs. Kovalchuk fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Kovalchuk tries to advance to mount but can't. Jason is trying to improve his position. Kovalchuk trying to control the action but Jason is working from the bottom. Kovalchuk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jason. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kovalchuk thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jason gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Jason is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kovalchuk's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kovalchuk's back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kovalchuk wants to get back to his feet. Jason gets his hands free as Kovalchuk looks to control. Kovalchuk is trying to remain composed but Jason is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Jason missing with punches from the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jason is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Kovalchuk won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Jason off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jack Jason!
