Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Murdock Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clint Foote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Murdock Jr!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clint Foote!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jr looks to throw the jab but Foote is out of range.
Jr takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Murdock Jr has been cut.
Foote tests Jr's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Foote drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Foote tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Foote working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Foote misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Foote tries to score with some ground and pound. Jr controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Jr takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Murdock Jr's cut is getting worse.
The strikes coming from Foote are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Jr manages to get back to half guard.
Foote is working for a submission of some sort.

Foote postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jr is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Foote, into his guard.
Jr won't allow Foote to sweep him here.
Jr controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Jr chips away with some ground and pound.
Foote doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Foote escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Jr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Foote working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jr manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jr reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Jr taps out! nice BJJ there by Foote!
