Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gerhard Berger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Probst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gerhard Berger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Probst! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berger throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Probst. Probst wants to clinch. Probst tries to clinch but Berger moves out of range. Probst throws a sloppy head kick and Berger moves out of range easily. Probst lands a head kick!
Probst closes the distance and clinches. Probst lands a good knee to the midsection. Berger won't want to take too many of those. Berger trying to land knees to the body.

Probst using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Berger has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Probst is pushing Berger up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Probst continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Probst has Berger pressed against the cage, preventing Berger from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Probst lands a good knee to the midsection. Berger won't want to take too many of those. A head punch blocked on the inside by Probst. Probst lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Berger tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Berger takes an elbow to the forehead. Berger blocks the elbow strike.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Jeff Probst. Berger throws a one two combo.
It looks like Jeff Probst has been cut. Berger falls off balance throwing a combination
and Probst counters with a head kick. Probst looks to clinch and Berger counters with a nice body shot. This has been an exciting period of action! Probst staying out of range there. Berger avoids the head kick by Probst.
Probst lands with a slapping head kick. Probst has managed to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Berger has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Probst utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Probst lands a nice elbow. Probst dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Probst. Probst connects with a nasty looking knee right to Berger's face.

Probst lands an elbow just above Berger 's eye. Probst lands a damaging elbow. Berger is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Probst gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Berger.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Probst will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Berger up against the cage. Probst tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Berger is trying to break the clinch but Probst is controlling him. Probst keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Berger's efforts to push away. The referee calls for Probst to work.

Probst creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Berger's defenses. Berger wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Berger wants a takedown.
Come on Probst - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Jeff Probst dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jeff Probst's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Probst takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Probst closes the distance and clinches. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Probst in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Probst lands an elbow inside that Berger shrugs off. Probst with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Berger trying to control the position but instead, Probst has worked for underhooks and has pushed Berger into the cage. Berger jumps guard but Probst stands there with Berger around his waist. Berger gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Probst has Berger pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Berger is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Probst - that's hurt Berger badly! Oh, another knee lands and Berger is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Berger doesn't seem to be complaining.
