Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Viet Cong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cong comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - This Means War. Gracie has chosen Deadmau5 - Some Chords as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cong connects with an inside leg kick.
Gracie throws an off balance right hand
and Cong finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Gracie misses with a lunging right hand
and Cong counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cong avoids the head kick by Gracie.
Cong tries to clinch but Gracie is having none of it.
Gracie swings away with a body shot that misses
and Gracie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gracie throws a poor cross that misses
and Cong counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Julio Gracie has been cut.
Gracie tries to clinch but Cong moves away
and Cong connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gracie throws a lazy uppercut
and Cong counters with a low kick, right behind Gracie 's knee.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cong cracks Gracie with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gracie. Cong does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gracie takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cong throws a leg kick which misses Gracie's front leg but catches the back leg as Gracie tries to avoid it.
Gracie lands a slapping body shot.
A nice leg kick lands there from Cong.
Gracie takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Gracie looks gassed!
Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Cong cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Gracie throws a sloppy head kick
and Cong counters with a right hand to the body.
An inside leg kick lands from Cong.

Cong has Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.

Cong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gracie misses with a double jab
and Cong cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Both fighters circling a little - Cong finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie ducks right into an uppercut from Cong.
Cong is looking to slow Gracie down with leg kicks.
A jab from Cong finds it's way through Gracie's defenses.
Gracie misses with a right hand
and Cong counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Cong scores with a crisp jab that stopped Gracie in his tracks.
Cong lands with a right hand.

That has opened up Julio Gracie's cut even more.

Gracie gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cong scores with a nice head shot.
A slapping body kick lands there for Cong.
Gracie takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Gracie throws a lazy head kick
and Cong counters with a thumping low kick.
Cong chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Gracie swings widly with a right hand
and Cong counters with a right hand to the body.
Cong feints and then cracks Gracie's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gracie down.
Cong fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gracie has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A left lands for Cong.

The cut above Julio Gracie's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Cong is looking to slow Gracie down with leg kicks.
Sloppy strikes from Cong. Those never looked like landing.
Gracie throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cong counters with an outside leg kick.
Cong lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Cong.

Cong scores with a decent looking hook.
Cong is looking to slow Gracie down with leg kicks.
Cong tests Gracie's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Cong fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gracie on the side of the head.
Cong cracks Gracie with a right hand to the side of the head.
Cong lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A nice inside leg kick there by Cong. That's going to slow Gracie down.
Gracie's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Cong moves into range and connects with a jab.

Julio Gracie's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Cong thuds a left hand into Gracie's body.
Cong turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Gracie has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Cong keeps Gracie at a distance using the push kick.
