Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jonathon Rook!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rook swings for the body but Bone moves out of range.
Rook swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bone.
Rook tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bone was well out of range. Poor timing from Rook.
Rook tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Bone buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Bone throws a body kick that misses.
Bone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

enabling Rook to counter with a crisp jab.
Bone throws a half hearted mid kick.
Bone tries a head kick but it misses.
No joy there for Rook, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jay Bone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bone.
Bone throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Rook uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bone has time to react.
Bone throws a head kick that misses.
Rook misses with a few strikes there.
Rook scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Rook lands a right hook to the body.
Bone pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bone shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

A solid leg kick lands there for Bone.
Rook throws a leg kick which misses Bone's front leg but catches the back leg as Bone tries to avoid it.

Rook lands a nice hook to Bone's body. Bone takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Rook takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Rook is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bone had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Bone walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Rook feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bones jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Rook is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Bone rather than just go for the knockout.

Bone walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Rook tries to score with a low kick but Bone moves his leg out of the way.

and Rook counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Bone takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rook connects with a leg kick. Bone looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Bone throws a lazy body kick
and Rook counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Rook moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Rook bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bone's head backwards.
Rook jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Rook scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Rook scores with a nice head shot.
Bone on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Rook lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rook digs a good body shot into Bone's ribs.
Rook works over Bone's head and body with a nice combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rook rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bone moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rook connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bone. Bone circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bone is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rook.


Bone is rocked!
Rook circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Bone to the canvas! Bone doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Rook keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
