Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Omar Mendes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bertrand Escher! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendes ducks under a wild hook from Escher. Mendes could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mendes misses with a two punch combination.
Mendes throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Escher avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Escher counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mendes won't be happy with that. Mendes parries the strikes from Escher easily there. Escher is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mendes to escape.
Escher misses with the ground and pound. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. An elbow from Escher crashes against the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mendes parries the strikes from Escher easily there. Escher is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mendes to escape.
Escher lands a decent elbow from side control. Escher misses with the ground and pound. Escher landing strikes. Mendes defending against the ground and pound. Escher trying to control the position but Mendes is working away. Escher scoring with punches from side control. Mendes managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Escher.
Escher is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Mendes looks calm but he's in trouble here. Escher gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Mendes is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Escher lets go of the hold and Mendes can pop his arm back in it's socket.
