Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grant Gaines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jiu Jiet Siet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Grant Gaines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jiu Jiet Siet!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gaines looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Gaines is working for a kimura but Siet is defending it quite comfortably.

Gaines is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gaines prevents Siet from standing back up.
Siet works his way to full guard. Good work.
Gaines wants to stand but Siet is controlling his posture from full guard.
Gaines works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Siet is pressing down on Gaines's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gaines chips away with some ground and pound.
Siet tries to strike from the bottom.
Gaines wanted to stand there but Siet had control of the position.

Gaines stands and steps away. Siet gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Gaines has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Siet has passed into side control.
Gaines is breathing heavily.

Siet tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Siet has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Siet wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gaines keeps working.
Siet connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Gaines some visible discomfort.

Siet is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gaines is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Check out the look on Siet's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Gaines is not content to let Siet control the position.
Gaines is trying to improve his position.

Gaines is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gaines is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

and Siet decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gaines's guard.

Gaines working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Siet doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Siet manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gaines wants to control but Siet is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Gaines wants to control but Siet postures up.

Jiu Jiet Siet showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Siet postures up and lands a big shot to Gaines's brow.

Jiu Jiet Siet comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Siet has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
