Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dinesh Jakhotia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Enugo Montoya!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jakhotia swivels and escapes.
Montoya feints and then cracks Jakhotia's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jakhotia down.
Jakhotia lands with an uppercut that bounces Montoya off the cage and back into rage.
Jakhotia misses with a hook. Montoya ducked under it nicely.
Jakhotia drops Montoya with a big left hand and mounts him. Montoya is in big trouble!
Montoya is rocked!
It looks like Enugo Montoya has been cut.
Jakhotia fails to move to back control.
Montoya is still in real trouble! Can Jakhotia finish him?
Jakhotia controlling from the full mount.
Montoya is trying to reverse the position but instead Jakhotia has taken his back - oops!
Montoya is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jakhotia gets his way!
Montoya seems to have recovered his senses.
Montoya is really stuck here.
Montoya turns into Jakhotia and is now in his guard.
Montoya pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jakhotia is keeping the position for now.
Jakhotia will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Montoya trying to control the position from guard on top but Jakhotia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Montoya trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Montoya trying to control but Jakhotia is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Montoya accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Montoya thows a big elbow that misses.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Nice jab there from Jakhotia.
Montoya has Jakhotia up against the cage in a clinch.
Montoya tries to throw a body punch but Jakhotia avoids it by throwing Montoya back against the cage.
Montoya has Jakhotia pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jakhotia manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Jakhotia wants to get back to striking at distance but Montoya won't allow it.

Dinesh Jakhotia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Enugo Montoya.

Montoya wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jakhotia has him pressed against the cage.
Jakhotia lands a hook that snaps the head of Montoya backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jakhotia lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Jakhotia manages to break the clinch.
Montoya pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jakhotia darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Jakhotia drops Montoya with a beautiful combination! Montoya stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jakhotia is looking for the KO!
Jakhotia really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jakhotia connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Montoya! He's out on his feet! Jakhotia rushes in and drops Montoya with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dinesh Jakhotia!
