Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hank Reardon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willy Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hank Reardon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Willy Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez lands a nice leg kick that just misses Reardon's sensitive parts.
Sanchez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Reardon throws out the jab.

Sanchez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Reardon's half guard.
Reardon is in trouble now - Sanchez has advanced to mount!
Reardon is desperately trying to improve his position but Sanchez has a good base and remains in mount.

Sanchez tries to lock up and control but Reardon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Reardon counters with a three punch combo that has Sanchez backing up. Sanchez nods at Reardon to acknowledge the strikes.
Hank Reardon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Willy Sanchez.
Reardon stalks Sanchez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sanchez's face. Sanchez staggers backwards, shaken.

Reardon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sanchez.

Sanchez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Reardon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sanchez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sanchez's back!

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Reardon gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Reardon apologises and we restart here on the feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sanchez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Reardon has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Reardon and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Sanchez shoots in and drives through. Reardon sprawls well.
Reardon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Willy Sanchez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown but Reardon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sanchez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hank Reardon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Reardon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
