The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in but Rodriguez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jones looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Rodriguez jabs at Jones's body.
Armondo Rodriguez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oooooh!!! Rodriguez has knocked Jones down with a huge combo! Rodriguez steps away and waves a wobbly Jones back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Thomas Jones has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rodriguez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Rodriguez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rodriguez moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off.
Rodriguez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jones stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rodriguez throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Jones crashing down! Jones tries to stagger back to his feet but Rodriguez just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Jones asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Armondo Rodriguez!
