Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Devlin Mudd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joel Kuokkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Devlin Mudd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joel Kuokkanen! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuokkanen has closed the distance and engaged Mudd in a clinch.
Kuokkanen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kuokkanen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Kuokkanen gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kuokkanen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mudd smiles and moves away.
Mudd darts in trying to clinch and Kuokkanen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kuokkanen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kuokkanen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kuokkanen lands in his opponent's guard. Mudd working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kuokkanen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kuokkanen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mudd working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kuokkanen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mudd is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Mudd working for a triangle but Kuokkanen defends it easily.
Mudd utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Mudd lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kuokkanen! Mudd trying to control but he's not successful this time. Mudd is breathing heavily. Kuokkanen is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mudd is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kuokkanen is surviving well by controlling Mudd's body position as best he can. Kuokkanen is in all sorts of trouble here.
Mudd jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kuokkanen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kuokkanen and Mudd has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Kuokkanen throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Kuokkanen can't do much from the bottom here. Kuokkanen is trying to improve his position. Mudd is looking to take a break and control but Kuokkanen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mudd has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kuokkanen is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Mudd yanks on the arm and Kuokkanen is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Mudd.
