Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watanabe fails with the takedown.
Takeda misses with a takedown
and Watanabe counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Watanabe content to control rather than advance.
Takeda looks like he's trying to stand up.
Watanabe moves nicely into side control.
Takeda really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Watanabe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Takeda is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Watanabe off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Watanabe is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Takeda defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Watanabe is breathing heavily.

Watanabe is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Takeda has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Watanabe has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Takeda taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Watanabe doesn't care though - he's delighted!
