Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nester Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rico Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nester Locke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rico Santos!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos shoots for a takedown but Locke saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Santos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Locke misses with a lunging right hand

so Santos counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Locke is trying to control the position but Santos postures up.
Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Locke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Santos won't allow Locke to sweep him here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Locke is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Santos has control of Locke's left arm, preventing Locke from doing any damage.

Locke drops back looking for a leg! Santos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santos manages to kick Locke off! Locke jumps back into Santos's guard.
Santos wants to sweep but no luck.

Santos is trying to control the position but Locke postures up.

Locke thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Santos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Santos not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Santos wants to stand and escape but Locke is having none of it.

Santos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Locke can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Locke has gone for a leg lock! Santos slips out almost immediately though and dives into Locke's guard.
Locke tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Locke looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Locke looking to hit a scissor sweep but Santos is one step ahead there.
Locke is pulling down on Santos's head to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Nester Locke just wasn't active enough.
Locke ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Locke lands with a hook. Santos tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A nice combination there by Locke.
Santos closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Santos takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Santos throws a series of punches but Locke moves out of range.

Santos takes one on the button.
Nice uppercut lands for Locke. That snapped Santos's head back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sloppy strikes from Santos. Those never looked like landing.
Santos gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Locke sizes up Santos with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Locke takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nester Locke is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Santos walks into a straight right hand from Locke.
A jab from Locke finds it's way through Santos's defenses.
Locke is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Santos shoots in for a takedown but Locke shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Santos looks gassed!
Locke's corner calls for a 1-2. Locke obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Locke lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Santos circles away quickly and effectively.
Nester Locke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos fails with the takedown
and Locke counters with a left and a right that stings Santos.
Nester Locke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rico Santos.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Locke drops Santos with a beautiful combination! Santos stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Locke is looking for the KO!

Santos is rocked!
Locke fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Santos on the side of the head.
Santos is still on wobbly legs! Can Locke finish him?

Oooooh!!! Locke has knocked Santos down with a huge combo! Locke steps away and waves a wobbly Santos back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Locke works Santos's body with a nice hook.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nester Locke dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Locke lands a slapping body shot.

Santos drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Locke lands a left and a right that send Santos crashing to the mat, dazed. Locke thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Locke scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Santos doesn't seem bothered though.
Nester Locke is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Locke feints with a jab and clips Santos right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Santos is sent crashing into the canvas and Locke leaps in for the kill! Santos tries to get to his feet but Locke is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Santos is in need of a savior and steps in!
