Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tyron Woodlley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yashihiro Tony! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woodlley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tony tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Woodlley is in Tony's guard. Woodlley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tony is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Woodlley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We're going to have a standup here because Tyron Woodlley wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Woodlley is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tony's half guard. Woodlley performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Woodlley wants to pass the guard but Tony is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tony tries to control Woodlley's body but Woodlley pushes him off. Tony squirms to his side and now Woodlley has his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tony looks gassed! Woodlley controls the action.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Tyron Woodlley just wasn't active enough. Woodlley gets a takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Woodlley is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Oh, that's bad for Tony! Tony tries to lock up and control but Woodlley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Woodlley fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tony sprawls well initially but Woodlley persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Tony trying to control here.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Tony has eaten all the pies! Woodlley stalling. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Woodlley stops Tony from getting back to his feet.

That's better than Woodlley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Woodlley content just to control the position here.

Yashihiro Tony has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Woodlley has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Tony's body.
