Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Artem Kolchinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Bocek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Artem Kolchinov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Bocek!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bocek enables Kolchinov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bocek manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We're going to have a standup here because Artem Kolchinov wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Bocek rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kolchinov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kolchinov shoots in and bounces Bocek off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bocek is looking to stand up but Kolchinov isn't so interested in that idea.
Bocek is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Kolchinov stands and steps away. Bocek gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Bocek lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kolchinov circles away quickly and effectively.

Bocek is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kolchinov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bocek tries to kick Kolchinov off but Kolchinov keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kolchinov wants to stand but Bocek has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Bocek pushes Kolchinov off looking to stand but Kolchinov dives back in and keeps control.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kolchinov is breathing heavily.
Bocek tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Kolchinov manages to move to mount!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kolchinov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bocek's guard.
Bocek is looking to stand up but Kolchinov isn't so interested in that idea.

and Kolchinov counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bocek!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kolchinov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
