Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Cabelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaio Pitbull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mario Cabelo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cabelo drives through and clinches with Pitbull against the cage.
Pitbull is trying to stall.

Cabelo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A head kick misses from Pitbull.
Pitbull fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pitbull tries to close the distance and clinch but Cabelo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cabelo shoots in looking for a takedown. Pitbull tries to sprawl out of it but Cabelo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pitbull manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pitbull closes the distance and clinches up with Cabelo, looking for a takedown. Pitbull pushes Cabelo against the cage but Cabelo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pitbull gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Pitbull escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cabelo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cabelo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cabelo drops back looking for a leg! Pitbull is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pitbull manages to kick Cabelo off! Cabelo jumps back into Pitbull's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cabelo distracts Pitbull with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Cabelo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pitbull is trying to hold Cabelo in close to prevent damage but Cabelo has managed to pass into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pitbull is looking to get to half guard.
Pitbull's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pitbull is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Pitbull sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Pitbull is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Cabelo stands up and beckons Pitbull to join him on the feet.

Pitbull shoots in for a double leg but Cabelo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Cabelo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pitbull is fending him off so far but Cabelo persists. Nope, Pitbull circles away and we're back to standing.
Pitbull has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Cabelo.
Cabelo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pitbull's waist but Pitbull gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cabelo off to one side.

Cabelo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pitbull pinned against the cage. Pitbull gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Pitbull feints a jab promting Cabelo to slip. Pitbull then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Cabelo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters circle momentarily. Pitbull darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
