Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Owen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darrell Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Owen comes to the cage accompanied by M.O.P. - Ante Up. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Darrell Abbott enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Patrick Owen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Darrell Abbott!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott misses with a combination
and Owen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Owen misses with a takedown attempt - Abbott sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Abbott throws an off balance right hand

and Owen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Owen comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Abbott can't break the clinch.
Abbott wants to break free but Owen has control.

Owen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Abbott misses with a combination

and Owen counters with a single leg into guard. Abbott didn't expect that.

Owen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Owen stands and steps away. Abbott gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

This has been an exciting period of action!

and Owen makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Owen scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Abbott doesn't seem bothered though.

Abbott lands with a hook. Owen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Owen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Abbott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Owen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Owen has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Abbott uses from the top position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Patrick Owen.
I think Owen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
