Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bryan Franklin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maeda shoots in for a takedown but Franklin shows good takedown defense.
Maeda throws a jab but it's blocked by Franklin.
Franklin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Maeda.
Franklin throws a sloppy head kick and Maeda moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Franklin swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Good leg kick by Franklin there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Maeda misses with a takedown attempt
and Franklin counters with a head kick.
Maeda misses with a jab, cross combination.
Maeda shoots in for a takedown but Franklin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Franklin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maeda throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Franklin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Maeda throws out the jab.

Maeda shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Franklin pinned against the cage. Franklin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Maeda throws a looping overhand right but Franklin ducks down to avoid it.
Maeda throws the left hand but Franklin avoids the punch easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Maeda throws a jab but it's blocked by Franklin.
Franklin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Maeda swings for the body but Franklin moves out of range.

That's time! Franklin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
Franklin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Maeda has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Franklin takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Maeda looks to throw the jab but Franklin is out of range.

Maeda is trying desperately to land a takedown but Franklin is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Maeda.

Bryan Franklin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Franklin.
Maeda might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Maeda lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Franklin circles away quickly and effectively.
