Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aslam King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikami Teru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King's entrance music is Terry Bozzio Drum Solo. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aslam King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mikami Teru! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Teru. King takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Teru tries for a takedown but King sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. King throws a half hearted mid kick. King stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and King wants it to stay on the feet. King connects with a body shot that sends Teru's belly button to the back. A nice leg kick lands there from King. Teru looks gassed! Teru jabbing away but nothing is landing. King connects with a solid leg kick. Mikami Teru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! King lands a jab to Teru's midsection. King drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. King working the ground and pound but Teru is defending the strikes. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Teru is looking for a sweep. Teru is not content to let King control the position. King wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Teru, who protects the arm well. King landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. King trying to control the position but Teru is working away. King throwing strikes but missing, from side control. King throwing shots but missing, from side control. King misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
King wants to lay and pray for a moment but Teru keeps working. King has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Teru is trying to control King's posture but King avoids it. Teru is trying to get back to half guard. King tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no King has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Teru takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. You can see the frustration on Teru's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Teru really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. King tries to score with some ground and pound. Teru controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. King throwing strikes but missing, from side control. King sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Teru is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Teru can do anything to dispel that myth. King is looking to take a break and control but Teru is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. King lands a few punches from side control. King in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King trying to control the position but Teru is working away. An elbow from King crashes against the mat.
King scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Teru to see if he's OK. King working away. King lands a decent elbow from side control. Teru is looking for a sweep. Teru defending against the ground and pound. King cracks Teru with a big elbow. King working the ground and pound. King lands a nice forearm strike. King working the body and head with strikes. King trying to control the position but Teru is working away. Teru tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. King creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sloppy strikes there by King. King landing strikes. Teru managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by King.
The strikes coming from King are missing the target in this wave of attacks. King cracks Teru with a big elbow. King wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Teru, who protects the arm well. King looks up at the clock and then as Teru takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, King smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's five minutes gone in the round. Teru wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! King connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Teru some visible discomfort.
King trying to control the position but Teru is working away. Teru parries the strikes from King easily there. King is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Teru to escape.
King scoring with punches and elbows. King wants to control but Teru is keeping him busy. King working the body and head with strikes. King is working Teru over with some ground and pound from side control. King has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. King has managed to clinch.
That's six minutes gone in the round. King crunches a lovely knee into Teru's ribcage. King lands a body shot. King trying to land knees to the body.
Teru is trying to break the clinch but King has him pressed against the ropes. A left hand lands to the body for King.
King slows down the pace here.
King tries for a takedown but Teru manages to get underhooks.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Teru's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! King changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Teru fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Teru misses with a left hand and King moves into the clinch. King keeps control of Teru as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. King tries to land knees in the clinch but Teru avoids the damage to the body. King has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Teru is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aslam King. That's going to take a lot out of him. King is leaning against Teru and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Teru is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but King is keeping busy. Teru working hard to break the clinch. King manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. King drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
King pushes Teru back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. King misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Teru.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aslam King dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
King defending well as Teru loads up on a big left hand. Teru gets tackled into the ropes by King. King maintains the clinch. King lands a body punch in the clinch. King drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A frustrated look appears on Teru's face as he tries to break the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though. King works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
That's one minute gone in the round. Teru managing to block the knees to the body from King.
King will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Teru up against the ropes. Teru has had enough of the clinch but King keeps him there for the moment. King misses with some punches.
Teru has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Teru is trying to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Teru is pressed up against the ropes. King has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Teru down to the mat. Teru avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aslam King. That's going to take a lot out of him. King misses with a wild body shot. Good exchange - Teru coming out on top. Teru tries to bum rush King with a series of wild strikes but King uses good footwork to avoid the assault. King closes the distance and pushes Teru back into the ropes. A short body shot lands from King as the two fighters clinch.
King misses with a hook from the clinch. Teru wants to break the clinch but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King stalling against the ropes.
Teru is trying to force a seperation but King has the dominant position. King tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Teru avoids it. Teru is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. King keeps control of Teru as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. King lands an elbow just above Teru 's eye.
It looks like Mikami Teru has been cut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Teru prevents a body shot from King. King drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Teru gets the underhooks and prevents it.
King works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
King turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and King manages to end up in side control. The ground and pound from King seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. King throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. King working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Teru sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Teru pushes King off and gets back to his feet. King takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. King connects with a solid leg kick. Teru is breathing heavily. Teru misses with a lunging right hand
and King counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Teru's guard now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! King throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. King tries to free his leg and advance position but Teru is retaining full guard. Teru avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Teru looking to control.
King wants to control from the top but Teru keeps moving. King scoring with some ground and pound. King looking to pass the guard. King trying to control but Teru is working from the bottom.
That's six minutes gone in the round. King trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. King might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. King in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. King wants to control from the top but Teru keeps moving. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Teru swivels though and keeps the full guard. Teru preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. King postures up in Teru's guard and throws a big left but Teru blocks it. King trying to control but Teru is working from the bottom. King loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Mikami Teru has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Teru wants to stand and escape but King is having none of it. King trying to control but Teru is working from the bottom. King is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Teru can do to turn this around? King stands up over Teru, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Teru is trying to control the position but King postures up. King cracks Teru with a solid left hand. King works over Teru with some ground and pound from guard. King throwing strikes but missing. King scoring with punches to the head and body. King throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Teru works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Teru controls King momentarily but King frees himself.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. King in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Aslam King overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hammerfist, elbow! yells King's corner. There ya go! There ya go! King is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Teru is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag. King missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. King throws a big right hand that misses. Teru looking to control but King passes into half guard.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. King lands with a punch from half guard. King tries to stand but can't do so whilst Teru controls his leg. King wants to control but Teru is keeping him busy. King looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Teru with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. King has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Aslam King is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Teru is trying to stand. King has control of Teru's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Teru regains control of the situation pretty easily.

And that's the end of the fight! Aslam King showed his dominance in that final round. Well King has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
