Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Resin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keijo Lerppa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Phil Resin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Keijo Lerppa! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Resin closes the distance looking to clinch and Lerppa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Resin fails with the takedown and Lerppa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Resin doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lerppa counters with a straight right hand. Lerppa misses with a double jab.
Phil Resin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Resin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lerppa.
Resin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sloppy strikes from Lerppa. Those never looked like landing. Nice body punch from Lerppa. Lerppa looks to score with a jab to the body but Resin is just out of range. Lerppa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Resin. Resin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Lerppa to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phil Resin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Resin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lerppa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Resin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lerppa counters with a three punch combo that has Resin backing up. Resin nods at Lerppa to acknowledge the strikes.
Resin is rocked! This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Resin. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Lerppa lands with a big right hook that stumbles Resin - he's out on his feet here! Lerppa follows up with another monster hook that separates Resin from consciousness! Resin falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Lerppa stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Keijo Lerppa!
