Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blaine Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jermaine Choake! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Choake slips a jab from Stone. Choake displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stone throws out the jab. Stone scores with a takedown into Choake's guard. Stone trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Stone has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Stone chips away with some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stone trying to control but Choake is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Choake advances nicely into full mount. Choake content just to control the position here. Stone throws out a loose jab but Choake uses good head movement to avoid it. Choake shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Stone counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Choake fails with the takedown and Stone counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Stone.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Choake seems to be working for a kimura but Stone defends the submission attempt. Choake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stone swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Stone makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Stone. Stone is looking for a triangle here but Choake uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Choake wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stone keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Choake wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Choake is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stone has escaped the position, nice work there. Stone is looking to reverse the position. Choake is looking to take a break and control but Stone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Choake gets to mount! Stone was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Stone is looking to improve his position but Choake isn't that keen on the idea. Choake tries to control but Stone wriggling away. Stone is looking to get to half guard.
