Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manuel Banuelos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, The Fighter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Manuel Banuelos!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fighter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fighter working some strikes from top position.

Banuelos looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fighter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Banuelos wants to sweep here but Fighter controlling him for the moment.
Fighter looking to sit in guard and control but Banuelos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Banuelos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fighter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fighter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Fighter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fighter tries to get out of the position.
Banuelos tries to free his leg and advance position but Fighter is retaining full guard.
Fighter wants to get back to his feet but Banuelos is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Fighter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Banuelos on the ground.
Banuelos postures up in Fighter's guard and throws a big left but Fighter blocks it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Manuel Banuelos hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Fighter scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Fighter in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Banuelos on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Fighter throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Banuelos manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Fighter is trying to stand.
Banuelos not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Banuelos is looking to advance position but Fighter won't allow it.

Banuelos sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Fighter defending well though.
Fighter is looking to escape.

Banuelos is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Banuelos looks gassed!
Fighter is refusing to be controlled, as Banuelos sits in half guard.
Banuelos is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The Fighter dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Banuelos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Fighter counters with a shoot takedown. Banuelos fights it but they end up in guard.
Fighter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Banuelos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Fighter's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Banuelos has momentary wrist control but Fighter slips an elbow through the middle.
Fighter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Fighter content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Banuelos is breathing heavily.
Fighter stays in close to Banuelos's body and controls the position.
Fighter is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Fighter postures up and lands a big shot to Banuelos's brow.

Fighter thows a big elbow that misses.

Fighter postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Banuelos is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fighter, into his guard.
Fighter keeping moving, preventing Banuelos from controlling successfully.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Banuelos throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Fighter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Banuelos is controlling him.
Banuelos wants to control from the top but Fighter keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Banuelos looking to pass the guard.
Banuelos trying to control but Fighter is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Manuel Banuelos.

Fighter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fighter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fighter prevents Banuelos from getting the reversal.
Fighter lands a big elbow.


It looks like Manuel Banuelos has been cut.
Banuelos wants to hold on but Fighter pushes him away.
Fighter scoring with strikes but Banuelos is staying in there.
Fighter with shots to the head and body - Banuelos looks very uncomfortable down there.
Fighter with the ground and pound from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fighter putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!


The cut above Manuel Banuelos's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee warns Banuelos that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


Banuelos is rocked!


Manuel Banuelos's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Manuel Banuelos's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). The Fighter!
