Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael McKeon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Niwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McKeon comes to the cage accompanied by T.I- Yeah ya know. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niwa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McKeon but McKeon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and McKeon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
McKeon wants to clinch
and Niwa moves into the clinch.

McKeon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
McKeon wants to sweep here but Niwa controlling him for the moment.
McKeon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Niwa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Niwa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

McKeon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Niwa is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Niwa has escaped and now he's on top!

Niwa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McKeon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McKeon is looking to reverse the position.

McKeon manages to work his way to half guard, despite Niwa's best efforts.
McKeon is looking for a sweep. Niwa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Niwa is trying to control the action in half guard but McKeon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Michael McKeon.
I think McKeon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
