Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cay Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Kirillov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hunter might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Stronger. Kirillov has chosen 25/17- Бейся as his entrance music. Anton Kirillov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cay Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anton Kirillov!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter gets a clinch.
Kirillov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hunter prevents it.
Kirillov tries to score a body lock takedown but Hunter shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Hunter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kirillov defends well.

Kirillov gets caught flat footed, as Hunter shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Kirillov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hunter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hunter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kirillov has an active guard here but Hunter has managed to pass into half guard.

Kirillov manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hunter's best efforts.

Hunter postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kirillov to stand up.
Hunter lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kirillov's sensitive parts.
Hunter throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hunter feints a jab promting Kirillov to slip. Hunter then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kirillov slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Kirillov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Hunter counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hunter.

Hunter pulls guard effortlessly.
Hunter has Kirillov pulled in close to control his posture.

Kirillov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hunter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hunter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hunter!
Kirillov is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hunter is trying to control. Kirillov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Hunter slows the pace down in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cay Hunter dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Hunter has Kirillov up against the cage in a clinch.
Kirillov has Hunter pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hunter manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Hunter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Hunter drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hunter postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Kirillov takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Hunter is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kirillov's shoulder. That is not cool.
Kirillov gets back to half guard.
Kirillov is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hunter trying to mount his opponent but Kirillov defends it.

Kirillov has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Hunter escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Hunter!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kirillov tries to bench press Hunter off him but Hunter keeps the position.

Hunter looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kirillov is not content to let Hunter control the position.

Hunter is trying to get an arm triangle but Kirillov is defending well.
Hunter wants to control but Kirillov is keeping him busy.
Kirillov is looking to regain half guard here but Hunter keeps moving and retains side control.
Kirillov manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Hunter is defending against the submission attempts here by Kirillov.

Kirillov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Kirillov has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hunter defend it? Kirillov steps over the head and cranks it - Hunter is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kirillov!
