Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jb Nnep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksandr Fedorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jb Nnep! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aleksandr Fedorov! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nnep falls off balance throwing a combination
and Nnep takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Nnep shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Fedorov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nnep gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fedorov counters with a straight right hand. Nnep tries to clinch up and Fedorov counters with a nice uppercut. Jb Nnep seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nnep wants to clinch but Fedorov slips to the side letting Fedorov counter with a right hand. Nnep tries to clinch but fails miserably and Fedorov counters with a straight right hand. Nnep shoots and misses enabling Fedorov to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jb Nnep. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nnep throws a predictable looking body shot
and Fedorov counters with a straight right hand. Fedorov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Fedorov moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Fedorov decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nnep to his feet. Nnep gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fedorov to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nnep working for a triangle but Fedorov defends it easily.
Fedorov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Fedorov throwing strikes from guard but Nnep blocks nicely. Fedorov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Nnep is breathing heavily.

Aleksandr Fedorov has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Nnep closes the distance looking to clinch and Fedorov counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Fedorov wants to pass the guard but Nnep is defending well. Nnep is trying to stand back up but Fedorov is controlling him
Fedorov perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Fedorov stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Nnep to get to his feet. Fedorov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nnep looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fedorov decides to stand back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Fedorov. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nnep is being controlled here. Fedorov stands up. Fedorov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fedorov looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aleksandr Fedorov dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Fedorov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fedorov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Fedorov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Fedorov is trying to take his opponent's back.

Fedorov biding his time, controlling Nnep. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fedorov working for a choke but Nnep is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fedorov is riding his opponent, not letting Nnep buck him off. Nnep tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Fedorov gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Fedorov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nnep's half guard. Fedorov controlling the action here. Fedorov passes to full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fedorov with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Fedorov looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fedorov wants to finish this one by submission but Nnep is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Fedorov.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fedorov gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Fedorov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nnep's guard. Fedorov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Fedorov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Fedorov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fedorov misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Fedorov is trying to get an arm triangle but Nnep is defending well. Aleksandr Fedorov has got the better of the ground game so far. Fedorov passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Nnep! Fedorov is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Nnep is surviving well by controlling Fedorov's body position as best he can. Fedorov content just to control the position here. Fedorov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aleksandr Fedorov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Nnep is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Fedorov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Fedorov manages to end up in side control. Nnep stops Fedorov from passing to mount. Fedorov decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nnep to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nnep gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fedorov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Fedorov. Nnep had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fedorov defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fedorov looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Fedorov gets to his feet - Nnep follows without any prompting. Fedorov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fedorov lands in his opponent's guard. Nnep can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fedorov controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fedorov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nnep. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fedorov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fedorov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nnep, up you get! Fedorov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Fedorov tries to pass to full mount but Nnep defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fedorov passes to full mount! Fedorov mounts Nnep! Really nice guard pass there! Fedorov content just to control the position here. Fedorov is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Fedorov shoots in and bounces Nnep off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Fedorov controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fedorov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

And that's the end of the fight! Aleksandr Fedorov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Fedorov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
