Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Gamaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeff Douglas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Gamaz! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gamaz swings and misses with a shot to the body and Douglas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A looping hook to the body misses from Douglas. Gamaz does a little dance to reset his feet. Douglas lands a really nice looking cross but Gamaz seems unphased.
Gamaz scores with a decent looking hook. Gamaz lands a nice looking body kick. Douglas stuns Gamaz with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Douglas closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. A swing and a miss from Douglas. Gamaz misses with a double jab
and Douglas counters with a stiff right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Douglas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gamaz was well out of range. Poor timing from Douglas. Douglas thows a left - swing and a miss! Douglas blocks a jab. Douglas lands a nice shot to the body.
Gamaz walks into a jab. Gamaz misses with a right hand enabling Douglas to counter with a crisp jab. Gamaz throws a right and a left that both miss. Douglas is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Gamaz clobbers Douglas with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Gamaz misses with a double jab
and Gamaz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Douglas uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gamaz. Gamaz misses with a looping left. Gamaz goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Douglas dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Gamaz.
Douglas takes one to the chin there. Gamaz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Gamaz misses with a shot to the body and Douglas counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Gamaz looks gassed! A punch lands to the side of Gamaz 's head but he takes it in his stride. Gamaz throws a low kick but Douglas moves out of range easily. Gamaz thows a body shot but no joy. Gamaz on the wrong end of a nice jab. Douglas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Gamaz moves forwards but Douglas connects with a nice, crisp jab. Douglas lands a lovely overhand right.
Gamaz is rocked! Douglas cracks Gamaz with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Gamaz tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Douglas pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Gamaz is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeff Douglas!
