The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMinny misses with a takedown
and Draft counters with a stiff right hand.
Draft scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Draft thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
McMinny wants to get back to his feet but Draft drags him back down.
McMinny is letting Draft control him for a moment.
McMinny is looking to reverse the position.
Draft creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Draft lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear McMinny down.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Draft has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McMinny takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Draft is trying to get an arm triangle but McMinny is defending well.

McMinny takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

McMinny misses with a right hand
and Draft counters with a nice double leg into side control. McMinny won't be happy with that.

Draft lands a nice forearm strike.
A big shot lands for Draft! That's hurt McMinny! Will he recover? Draft fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
