Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sergei Dragunov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Keller Rock! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rock drives through with a takedown into guard. Dragunov working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Rock has passed into half guard!
Dragunov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rock trying to control the action but Dragunov is working from the bottom. Rock might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dragunov kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dragunov tries to roll over but Rock keeps him under control. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Rock throwing shots but Dragunov is blocking nicely.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Keller Rock was stalling too much, according to the referee. Dragunov tries to sprawl but Rock drives through with a takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dragunov is looking to improve his position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Dragunov wants to control but Rock is keeping busy and won't allow it. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Rock prevents Dragunov from improving his position. Rock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dragunov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dragunov closes the distance looking to clinch and Rock decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dragunov's guard. Dragunov wants to sweep here but Rock controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rock trying to control the position from guard on top but Dragunov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dragunov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sergei Dragunov has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Dragunov doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rock counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dragunov! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rock lands a nice shot to the head. Rock sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rock landing strikes from the mount. Rock trying to control but Dragunov is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Keller Rock dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Rock closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Rock takes a little break here. Dragunov wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Rock decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dragunov to his feet. Rock gets a takedown into half guard. Dragunov is looking to control Rock's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dragunov avoid being mounted?
That's one minute gone in the round. Dragunov is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Rock jumps into side control! Dragunov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rock off and has taken his back! Dragunov patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Dragunov scores with punches from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rock is trying to stand back up. Dragunov is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Dragunov misses with a punch to the head. Dragunov somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Rock prevents Dragunov from getting a body triangle. Dragunov throwing strikes and Rock squirms under the pressure, ending up mounted. Rock is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Dragunov landing punches. Rock is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rock is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Dragunov punishing his opponent with strikes. Dragunov wants to control the pace but Rock is squirming around nicely. Keller Rock has got the better of the ground game so far. Dragunov is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rock is surviving well by controlling Dragunov's body position as best he can. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dragunov cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Dragunov avoids the attempt from Rock to control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rock can do anything to dispel that myth. Dragunov with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dragunov thowing shots but they're missing. Rock is trying to stand. Rock can't escape the position.
Dragunov jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rock is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rock and Dragunov has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Dragunov looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Rock is avoiding damage well.
Dragunov working the head and body with strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rock is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Rock sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sergei Dragunov dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Dragunov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Rock is trying to control Dragunov's posture but Dragunov avoids it. Dragunov misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Rock can't do much from the bottom here. Dragunov goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rock has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dragunov but great work by Rock. Dragunov seems a little lost for a moment, as Rock dominates the positioning. Dragunov is looking for a sweep. Rock working the ground and pound but Dragunov is defending the strikes. Dragunov regains half guard there - taking advantage of Rock's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dragunov wants to sweep but Rock has passed to side control! Dragunov gets back to half guard. Dragunov regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Rock.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dragunov keeping moving, preventing Rock from controlling successfully. Rock throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Dragunov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rock controls the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rock trying to control but Dragunov is working from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Keller Rock wasn't active enough on the ground. Dragunov tries to clinch and Rock counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dragunov won't be happy with that. Rock scoring with punches from side control. Dragunov is looking for a sweep. Dragunov regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rock is looking to take a break and control but Dragunov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rock perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. The fighters are battling for position here. Dragunov manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Dragunov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rock manages to get himself to full guard.
Rock is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dragunov is controlling him. Rock had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dragunov defends it easily.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Keller Rock. Well Rock has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
