Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Ettish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Stevenson! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevenson misses the jab. Stevenson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ettish counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Josh Stevenson has been cut. Stevenson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Ettish counter with a right hand. Stevenson throws a head kick that misses and Ettish connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Stevenson throws a combination that misses and Ettish cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That kick from Ettish tenderised Stevenson's leg. Stevenson is trying to keep his angry face on. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ettish.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ettish.
Stevenson looks gassed! Stevenson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Ettish scores with a jab to the body. Ettish forces Stevenson back against the cage and clinches. Ettish connects with a knee to the head.
Stevenson takes an elbow to the forehead. Ettish lands an uppercut. Ettish connects with a knee to the head.
That has opened up Josh Stevenson's cut even more. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Ettish creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Ettish gets through Stevenson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Ettish connects with a nasty looking knee right to Stevenson's face.
Ettish unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ettish lands a nice knee to the body. Ettish utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Ettish scores with a nice hook to the head. Ettish breaks from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. A lazy left from Ettish finds it's target. Stevenson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ettish. Ettish scores with a one two! Stevenson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Ettish jabs at Stevenson's body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice shot by Ettish.
The cut above Josh Stevenson's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Ettish lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Ettish throws a nice head kick!
Stevenson is rocked!
Josh Stevenson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. The fighters circle, before Ettish throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Stevenson's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Ettish lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
