The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turk misses with a head kick.
Emelianenko throws a lazy uppercut
and Turk makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Turk bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Emelianenko! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Turk pushes Emelianenko away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Emelianenko gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Emelianenko is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Turk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Turk explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

and Emelianenko counters with a single leg into guard. Turk didn't expect that.
Emelianenko wants to control from the top but Turk keeps moving.

Emelianenko drops back looking for a leg! Turk is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Turk manages to kick Emelianenko off! Emelianenko jumps back into Turk's guard.

Emelianenko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Turk doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Emelianenko.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Turk is not content to let Emelianenko control the position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Turk misses with a looping left.
Turk fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Emelianenko looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Emelianenko scores with a jab.
Turk throws a head kick that misses.
Turk pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Emelianenko lands a nice hook to Turk's body. Turk takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Emelianenko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Turk avoids it really well and circles away.

Turk throws a looping overhand right but Emelianenko ducks down to avoid it.

and Emelianenko decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Turk's guard.

Emelianenko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Emelianenko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Turk has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Emelianenko is proving hard to escape from.

Turk avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Emelianenko pushes a forearm under Turk's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Turk is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
