Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frej nord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frej nord!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
nord wants to clinch.
Mir closes the distance and clinches up with nord, looking for a takedown. Mir pushes nord against the cage but nord circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mir gets a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
nord trying to control from the bottom.
nord moves into full guard.
Mir really doesn't want to stay on the ground with nord. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
nord looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mir is one step ahead there.
nord wants to get back to his feet but Mir is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mir stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Mir throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around nord's waist but nord gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mir off to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round.
nord shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mir counters with a nice double leg into side control. nord won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mir wants to lay and pray for a moment but nord keeps working.
nord manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
nord gets full guard.
Mir won't allow nord to sweep him here.
nord working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mir doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but nord is tightening it up a little... Mir has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Mir reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Mir taps out! nice BJJ there by nord!
