Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Rosholt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ellis's choice of entrance music: 5 minutes alone. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ellis swings for the body but Rosholt moves out of range.
Ellis throws a poor cross that misses
and Ellis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ellis throws a leg kick that is checked letting Rosholt counter with a right hand. Ellis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rosholt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ellis misses with a combination
and Rosholt counters with a nice double leg into guard. Rosholt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rosholt controlling from the top position. Ellis working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rosholt. Rosholt controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rosholt throws a strike but Ellis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Rosholt seems keen to control Ellis's posture. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tony Rosholt wasn't doing enough on the ground. Rosholt moves out of range of the leg kick from Ellis. Quinton Ellis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A jab from Rosholt finds it's way through Ellis's defenses. A shot to the body from Ellis misses and Rosholt counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rosholt. Rosholt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Rosholt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rosholt passes easily into side control. Nice work. Rosholt scores with a couple of short elbows. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rosholt creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Ellis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rosholt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ellis is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Ellis wants to get back to his feet but Rosholt drags him back down. Ellis looks gassed! Ellis takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ellis is letting Rosholt control him for a moment. Rosholt lands a few punches from side control. Rosholt takes a little break here. Ellis wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Ellis takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rosholt scoring with punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rosholt happy to just control the position for now. Ellis is trying to buck Rosholt off. Rosholt lands a nice forearm strike. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rosholt lands some shots froms side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rosholt grinds an elbow into Ellis's temple. Rosholt scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ellis to see if he's OK. Ellis is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rosholt is controlling him well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Rosholt dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rosholt looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Rosholt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Rosholt postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rosholt with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Rosholt passes Ellis's left leg - he's now in half guard. Rosholt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ellis can do to turn this around? Rosholt works his way into side control. Ellis takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Quinton Ellis has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rosholt looks up at the clock and then as Ellis takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Rosholt smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Ellis is breathing heavily. Rosholt thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Rosholt looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Check out the look on Rosholt's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rosholt scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ellis to see if he's OK.
That has opened up Quinton Ellis's cut even more. Rosholt moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Rosholt's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Rosholt has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Rosholt scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ellis to see if he's OK. Ellis takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The cut above Quinton Ellis's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Rosholt lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ellis down.
Quinton Ellis's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Quinton Ellis's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Tony Rosholt!
