Martinez comes to the cage accompanied by Many Men. Alexander Martinez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ninjaman Qfc's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Qfc fails with the takedown
and Martinez counters with a stiff right hand.
A head kick by Qfc misses
and Qfc takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Qfc has eaten all the pies!
Qfc darts in trying to clinch
and Martinez counters with a stiff right hand.
Qfc with a lazy takedown attempt
and Martinez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Alexander Martinez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ninjaman Qfc.
Martinez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Qfc tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Martinez is in Qfc's guard.

Martinez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Martinez postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Qfc to stand up.

Martinez pushing down on Qfc's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Martinez is taking a breather. Qfc says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Martinez passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Qfc!
Martinez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Martinez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Martinez pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

and Martinez counters by clinching up.
Martinez lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Qfc backwards.

Martinez pulls Qfc in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Martinez lands some shots froms side control.
Martinez stands up and beckons Qfc to his feet.
Alexander Martinez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Martinez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Qfc was covering up waiting for the punch and Martinez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Martinez gets to his feet - Qfc follows without any prompting.
Martinez scores with a one two! Qfc had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Qfc tries to keep at a distance but Martinez has taken the fight into the clinch.

Martinez manages to break the clinch.
Martinez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Martinez content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Martinez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Qfc for as long as he can get away with.
Martinez is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Martinez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Qfc really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Martinez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Qfc tries to pull guard but Martinez holds him up against the cage and eventually Qfc drops back down to his feet.

Alexander Martinez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Qfc is trying to control Martinez's posture but Martinez avoids it.

Martinez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Alexander Martinez.

and Martinez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Martinez is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Martinez stands and steps away. Qfc gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Martinez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Martinez jumps into guard, dragging Qfc to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Martinez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Qfc's guard.
Martinez passes easily into side control. Nice work.
You can see the frustration on Qfc's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
