Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Highlander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ariel Piechocki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Diego Highlander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ariel Piechocki! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piechocki misses with a takedown attempt - Highlander sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Piechocki wants to clinch. Piechocki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Highlander looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Piechocki slows the pace down. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Highlander tries to bench press Piechocki off him but Piechocki keeps the position. Highlander is being controlled here. Piechocki tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Ariel Piechocki hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Highlander with a poor takedown and Piechocki counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Highlander's guard now. Piechocki postures up.
Piechocki controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Highlander really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Highlander shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Piechocki counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Piechocki scoring with some ground and pound. Piechocki showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Piechocki's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Piechocki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Highlander wants to stand but Piechocki is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Piechocki makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Piechocki slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Piechocki working some strikes from top position. Highlander is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Highlander is breathing heavily. Piechocki stays in close to Highlander's body and controls the position. Highlander will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Piechocki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Highlander's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ariel Piechocki dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Highlander has his takedown stuffed and Piechocki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Highlander knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Piechocki on the ground. Piechocki is stalling in the full guard. Piechocki passes into half guard. Piechocki is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Highlander has managed to free his arm - good work. Ariel Piechocki has got the better of the ground game so far. Piechocki not doing much here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Highlander taking some punishment here, with Piechocki in his half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Piechocki connects with a nice short shot to Highlander's temple. Piechocki trying to control the pace. Piechocki working the head and body with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piechocki works his way into full mount! Piechocki content just to control the position here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Highlander taking shots to the head. Piechocki unloading with bombs!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Piechocki controlling the position easily from mount. BOOM! Piechocki connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Piechocki landing punches. Piechocki lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Highlander hang on? Piechocki has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Highlander's face.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Piechocki postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Highlander looks a forlorn figure.
Highlander is rocked! Piechocki raining down shots from the mount! Oh Highlander is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Piechocki connects with a bit shot that sees Highlander covering up! More strikes from Piechocki and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Piechocki is our winner by TKO!
