Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Suk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Lawson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kurt Suk!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Suk.
Suk misses with a body kick.

Lawson gets a takedown into half guard.
Suk regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Lawson.
Lawson postures up in Suk's guard and throws a big left but Suk blocks it.
Suk looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lawson is one step ahead there.
Suk working a defensive guard here.
Lawson wants to pass the guard but Suk is keeping the position.
Lawson is working hard here to advance position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Suk keeping moving, preventing Lawson from controlling successfully.
Lawson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Suk wants to stand but Lawson is controlling the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Suk is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Lawson looking to sit in guard and control but Suk gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lawson wants to sweep but no luck.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack Lawson.
Suk throws a push kick but Lawson slaps the foot to one side.
Lawson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Suk counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lawson's knee momentarily.
Suk scores with a push kick.
Suk throws a sloppy head kick and Lawson moves out of range easily.
A slapping leg kick lands for Suk.
Jack Lawson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suk scores with a jab to the head.
Suk connects with a solid leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Suk.
Lawson is breathing heavily.
Suk throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Suk stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.


It looks like Jack Lawson has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
That kick from Suk tenderised Lawson's leg. Lawson is trying to keep his angry face on.
Lawson avoids the head kick by Suk.
Lawson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Suk. Suk obviously looking to wear him down.
Suk throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lawson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A nice leg kick lands there from Suk.
Suk thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Lawson if he has to take too many more of those.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Suk fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lawson.
Suk lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lawson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Suk lands a nice looking body kick.
Suk plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Suk goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Suk throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lawson on the side of the head.
Kurt Suk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Suk fakes the leg kick and cracks Lawson in the body.
Suk lands a front kick.
Suk keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.


Lawson is rocked!
Suk fakes the body blow, causing Lawson to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Lawson goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kurt Suk!
