Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyrel Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taka Yoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett comes to the cage accompanied by Highway to Hell. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyrel Sackett!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taka Yoshi!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshi throws a quick inside leg kick.
Yoshi fails with the takedown
and Sackett connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Yoshi misses with a shot to the body
enabling Sackett to counter with a crisp jab.
Yoshi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick by Yoshi misses
and Sackett counters with a stiff right hand.
Sackett takes a kick to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Yoshi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sackett counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Yoshi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Taka Yoshi has been cut.

and Sackett counters with a nice uppercut.

Yoshi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sackett napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Yoshi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sackett's head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Taka Yoshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yoshi throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sackett lands a leg kick that knocks Yoshi off balance momentarily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tyrel Sackett will probably get the nod.

Sackett tries to land a front kick but Yoshi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Sackett is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yoshi can do to turn this around?

and Sackett counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Sackett tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Yoshi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sackett, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
