The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howards shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bman as he jumps to the side.
Howards tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Benny Howards seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Howards scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Howards has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
