Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seth Mangler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cosme Cosme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mangler comes into the arena with I Stand Alone blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Cosme Cosme!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cosme shoots in for a takedown but Mangler shows good takedown defense.
Mangler closes the distance looking to clinch

and Cosme counters with a takedown into side control.
Mangler is trying to improve his position.
Mangler is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Cosme is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mangler is just riding it out for now. Cosme eventually gives up the hold.

Cosme is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mangler doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cosme.
Mangler wants to improve his position but Cosme is controlling well.

Cosme is working for a kimura but Mangler is defending it quite comfortably.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cosme is working for a kimura here but Mangler manages to reverse the position and he's now in Cosme's guard.

Cosme is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mangler is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mangler is stalling in the full guard.

Cosme is working an open guard so Mangler takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Mangler counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Cosme has his foot on Mangler's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mangler works his way back into a safe position though.
Mangler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Mangler has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Cosme looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Mangler got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cosme has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mangler has managed to get both his arms back between Cosme's legs - danger averted.
Mangler has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Mangler not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Seth Mangler.
Cosme has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mangler.

Mangler tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cosme is able to avoid easily.
Mangler tries to clinch up but Cosme circles away and keeps his distance.
Mangler connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cosme throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mangler scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Mangler moves into the clinch.
Mangler lands a right hand that snaps the head of Cosme backwards.

Cosme gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mangler.
Mangler makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Mangler lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Mangler obliges.
Mangler lands a shot to the body.
Cosme takes a shot to the head.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Mangler is leaning against Cosme and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mangler lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seth Mangler dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Sloppy strikes from Mangler. Those never looked like landing.
Cosme swinging wildly here.

and Mangler counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Cosme needs to keep his hands up - Mangler had a free shot at his head there.

Mangler gets in close and instigates a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mangler is working Cosme over against the cage.
Mangler pushes Cosme back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Mangler slows down the pace here.
Mangler connects with a knee to the head.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Mangler obliges.
A nice left hand lands by Mangler.
Cosme is breathing heavily.

Mangler pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mangler feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Cosme sprawling to the canvas! Cosme rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mangler finish him?!

Cosme is rocked!

Mangler rushes Cosme and presses him up against the cage.
Cosme is still on wobbly legs! Can Mangler finish him?
Cosme takes an elbow to the temple.
Cosme seems to have recovered his senses.
Mangler pushes Cosme back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Mangler lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Mangler lands a shot to the body.
Mangler lands a good knee to the midsection. Cosme won't want to take too many of those.
Mangler gets through Cosme's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Mangler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mangler lands with a big left! Cosme is wobbled badly! Mangler comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Cosme to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Seth Mangler!
