Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey The Dude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Rubio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Rubio will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeffrey The Dude!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Rubio!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubio misses with a hook. The Dude ducked under it nicely.
Adam Rubio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rubio misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The Dude drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rubio is trying to keep The Dude in close.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The Dude is nestled in close to Rubio, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Rubio pushes The Dude off looking to stand but The Dude dives back in and keeps control.
Well, if The Dude is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and The Dude counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The Dude tries to free his leg and advance position but Rubio is retaining full guard.

Rubio pushes The Dude off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

The Dude seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rubio does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Jeffrey The Dude will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jeffrey The Dude.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for The Dude, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
