Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sam Hain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Marcel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hain comes to the cage accompanied by Time Frame by Dom and Roland. Marcel has chosen city of angels as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Sam Hain has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sam Hain seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Hain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesse Marcel! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marcel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hain misses with a leg kick and Marcel counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hain's knee momentarily. Marcel lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Sam Hain has been cut. Marcel throws out a leg kick but Hain moves out of range and Marcel only half commits. Marcel wants to slow Hain down by chopping away at his legs. Marcel misses with a body shot
and Hain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Marcel is looking to land body kicks. An inside leg kick lands from Marcel. Hain avoids a kick to the body.
Marcel throws a leg kick which misses Hain's front leg but catches the back leg as Hain tries to avoid it. Marcel misses with a leg kick and Hain counters with an inside leg kick. Marcel wants to clinch up but Hain keeps it at a distance. Marcel lands with a thumping leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hain checks a leg kick nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marcel pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marcel connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Marcel feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hain's calf. Marcel moves into range and clinches up with Hain. Marcel lands a left hand that snaps the head of Hain backwards. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Hain tries to score a body lock takedown but Marcel shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Hain is leaning against Marcel and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Hain is trying to drag Marcel to the mat but Marcel just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Marcel lands an elbow inside that Hain shrugs off. Marcel stalls. Hain blocks an elbow strike. Marcel throws an elbow but it's blocked.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marcel pushes off an throws an elbow but Hain leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Marcel lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Hain goes for a takedown attempt but Marcel pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Hain. That's going to take a lot out of him. A left lands for Marcel. A telegraphed right hand from Hain misses the target. An inside leg kick from Marcel misses. Marcel wants to clinch and Hain connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Jesse Marcel has been cut. A big left from Hain misses. Hain avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Marcel closes the distance looking to clinch and Hain counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Marcel thinking.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hain takes a swing at Marcel's ribcage but misses. Marcel throws a leg kick but Hain checks it. Hain is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Marcel fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hain tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Marcel was well out of range. Poor timing from Hain. A chopping leg kick lands by Marcel. Marcel throws a body kick that misses. Hain throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Marcel counters with a body kick. Hain's jab looks to have found its range, popping Marcel under the eye.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marcel throws a leg kick but Hain sees it coming and checks it nicely. Jesse Marcel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hain shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Marcel as he jumps to the side. Marcel wants to slow Hain down by chopping away at his legs. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hain crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Marcel - the referee stops the clock and Hain gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Marcel. Hain manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Marcel moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

and Marcel counters with a good low kick that Hain was not able to check. Marcel misses with a head kick.
Hain misses with a low kick. Hain is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A good leg kick by Marcel. Marcel throws a leg kick which misses Hain's front leg but catches the back leg as Hain tries to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesse Marcel dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Marcel thows a body kick. Hain tries to catch it but that hurt him. Hain on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Hain closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Marcel did well to prevent Hain getting side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marcel is looking for a sweep. Hain is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hain missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Hain is looking to advance position but Marcel won't allow it. Marcel wants to control but Hain is keeping busy and won't allow it. Hain has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Marcel keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marcel avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hain. Hain is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hain trying to control from half guard but Marcel is working away. Hain throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Marcel gets full guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hain trying to control the position from guard on top but Marcel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marcel working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hain loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Marcel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Hain trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Marcel has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hain is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Marcel. Hain wants to control but Marcel is keeping him busy. Hain working the ground and pound from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marcel is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hain off and has taken his back! Hain manages to reverse the position and now he's in Marcel's guard. Nice work there by Hain.

Hain throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marcel works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hain throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Marcel has his foot on Hain's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hain works his way back into a safe position though. Marcel is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hain is aware though and is defending well. Hain looking to pass the guard. Hain scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Hain seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hain wants to control from the top but Marcel keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Sam Hain will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Hain thows a left - swing and a miss! Marcel tries to close the distance and clinch but Hain swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Marcel lands with a kick to the temple. Hain shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Marcel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hain takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Marcel throws a lazy head kick and Hain connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Marcel throws a lazy right hand but Hain sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Marcel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hain tries to get to full guard but Marcel has control of the leg. Marcel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hain is working hard here to advance position. Marcel is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Hain looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hain is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Marcel pulls his head out easily. Marcel wants to control but Hain is keeping him busy. Hain is looking to control Marcel's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hain avoid being mounted? Marcel works his way into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hain is trying to escape the mount.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Hain stops Marcel from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Marcel looking to control but Hain is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hain really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marcel wants to finish this one by submission but Hain is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Marcel. Hain is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Marcel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hain is looking to escape. Hain is trying desperately to improve position. Marcel working for a guillotine from mount but Hain is in no mood to give up. Marcel tries to control but Hain wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hain tries to get back to half guard but can't. Marcel wants to take his opponent's back but Hain doesn't allow it. Marcel is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hain has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hain! Hain with a nice head shot there. Marcel controlling the position. Hain thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Marcel keeping moving, preventing Hain from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Jesse Marcel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Marcel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
