Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benji OToole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Benji OToole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Jones!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a looping left.
OToole uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.

OToole scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
OToole trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom.
Jones is trying to get back to his feet.

OToole stands up.
Jones wants to clinch up but OToole keeps it at a distance.

OToole darts in trying to clinch

and Jones holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Jones breaks the clinch.
OToole closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. OToole pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jones tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and OToole decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard.
OToole looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
OToole not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
OToole pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage.
Jones postures up.

OToole is looking to sweep but instead, Jones has passed into half guard.
Jones tries to stand but his hand is stuck under OToole.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

OToole fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.

OToole pulls guard.
Jones trying to stand up but can't free himself from OToole's guard.
OToole wants to stand up but Jones is controlling him.

Jones stands up from OToole's guard - Jones perhaps looking for a knockout.

Jones misses with a telegraphed body shot
letting OToole counter with a right hand.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
OToole misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jones wants to clinch but OToole slips to the side

and OToole counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Jones has had enough of the clinch but OToole keeps him there for the moment.

OToole prevents Jones from breaking the clinch.

Jones is fighting off a takedown attempt but OToole is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jones to the mat. Jones regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Jones is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Jones looks gassed!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
OToole showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Jones is looking to stand up but OToole isn't so interested in that idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jones throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and OToole counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Jones wriggles free and stands up.
OToole fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Jones gets caught flat footed, as OToole shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst OToole is controlling him.
OToole is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

OToole gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting.
Jones is breathing heavily.
OToole looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A lazy body kick from Jones
and OToole connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

OToole gets a clinch.
OToole prevents Jones from breaking the clinch.
OToole has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jones avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
OToole tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

OToole shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Jones is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

OToole stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Jones clinches up against the cage.
OToole prevents Jones from breaking the clinch.

Jones gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and OToole counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by OToole.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

OToole decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Benji OToole overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jones prevents OToole from improving position.

OToole is really struggling to control Jones but he's trying to hold on to the position.

OToole stands up and beckons Jones to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

OToole changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jones is not content to let OToole control the position.

Jack Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well OToole has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
