Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Rimmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Legeld (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Legeld is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: System Of A Down-Metro. Tim Rimmer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Rimmer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Martin Legeld! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rimmer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Rimmer scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Rimmer misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Rimmer laying and praying for a moment but Legeld takes advantage and regains half guard. Rimmer is thwarting Legeld's attempts to control the position. Legeld avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rimmer. Legeld trying to control here.
Rimmer not landing any meaningful shots this time. Legeld moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Rimmer thows a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rimmer avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Legeld keeping moving, preventing Rimmer from controlling successfully. Rimmer is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Legeld is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Legeld has escaped and now he's on top! Rimmer working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tim Rimmer wasn't doing enough on the ground. Legeld gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rimmer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Legeld won't be happy with that. Legeld is trying to control Rimmer's posture but Rimmer avoids it. Legeld defending against the ground and pound. Legeld taking punishment in the form of punches.
Rimmer wants to control but Legeld is keeping him busy. Rimmer throws a strike aimed at the side of Legeld's head but Legeld avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Legeld is not content to let Rimmer control the position. You can see the frustration on Legeld's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Rimmer working the head with strikes. Rimmer throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Rimmer cracks Legeld with an elbow. That is naaassty. Legeld defending against the ground and pound. Rimmer misses with the ground and pound. Legeld manages to get back to half guard. Legeld looks gassed! Nice strikes from Rimmer there. Legeld moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Legeld avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rimmer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Rimmer looking to sit in guard and control but Legeld gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rimmer managing to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Rimmer dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Legeld circles away from the clinch attempt.
Legeld gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rimmer counters with a takedown into side control. The strikes coming from Rimmer are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Legeld is trying to control Rimmer's posture but Rimmer avoids it. Rimmer lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Legeld down.
A lull in the action here as Rimmer stalls from top position. Rimmer cracks Legeld with an elbow. That is naaassty.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rimmer throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Rimmer in side control, throwing shots but Legeld defends. Legeld takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Legeld is breathing heavily. Rimmer scores with a couple of short elbows. Rimmer lands a few punches from side control. Legeld dodges the ground and pound from Rimmer. Rimmer grinds an elbow into Legeld's temple. The referee asks Rimmer politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rimmer prefers to stall for the moment though. Rimmer working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rimmer is putting a hurting on Legeld here, landing some big shots from side control. Rimmer taking a breather here. Rimmer trying to control the action but Legeld is working from the bottom. Legeld can't do much from the bottom here. Rimmer working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Rimmer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Legeld keeps working. Rimmer throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Legeld takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Legeld is not in a great position here, taking some shots. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Rimmer sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Legeld is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Rimmer lands some shots froms side control. Rimmer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Legeld has escaped the position, nice work there. Legeld on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rimmer fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Rimmer scoring with punches and elbows. Rimmer trying to control the position but Legeld is working away. Rimmer working the head and body with strikes. Rimmer working the ground and pound. Rimmer trying to control the position but Legeld is working away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rimmer landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Rimmer dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Rimmer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Legeld is looking to reverse the position. Rimmer is chipping away with strikes.
Rimmer thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Rimmer throws a strike aimed at the side of Legeld's head but Legeld avoids it well. Legeld sneaks back into half guard. Rimmer wants to advance to full mount but Legeld doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Legeld takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Legeld controls Rimmer momentarily but Rimmer frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rimmer postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Legeld avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rimmer works over Legeld with some ground and pound from guard. Rimmer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Legeld is keeping the position for now. Rimmer thows a big elbow that misses. Legeld keeping moving, preventing Rimmer from controlling successfully. Rimmer is really struggling to control Legeld but he's trying to hold on to the position. Rimmer engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Legeld keeping moving, preventing Rimmer from controlling successfully. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tim Rimmer wasn't doing enough on the ground. Rimmer looks to land a combination but Legeld avoids it well. Tim Rimmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Legeld doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rimmer counters with a shoot takedown. Legeld fights it but they end up in guard. Legeld looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rimmer is one step ahead there. Rimmer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Legeld is keeping the position for now.

Rimmer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Rimmer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Legeld can do to turn this around? Rimmer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rimmer passes into half guard. Legeld is in trouble now - Rimmer has advanced to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rimmer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Rimmer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Legeld's face.
Legeld taking shots to the head. Rimmer is landing with some decent strikes but Legeld is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Rimmer unloading with bombs! Rimmer working the ground and pound effectively.
Legeld is rocked! Rimmer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Legeld is still in real trouble! Can Rimmer finish him? The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rimmer lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Tim Rimmer showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rimmer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
